
Bundeswehr Chooses Safran to Provide Cutting-Edge Infrared Binoculars
The German Bundeswehr’s procurement agency (BAAINBw1) has appointed Safran Electronics & Defense Germany to furnish the German military with the latest generation of portable infrared observation binoculars.
These state-of-the-art binoculars will enhance the operational capabilities of the German infantry by addressing a broad spectrum of mission requirements, including daytime and nighttime surveillance and target identification, regardless of climatic conditions, and even in GNSS2-denied settings.
Situated in Murr, Baden-Württemberg, Safran Electronics & Defense Germany serves as the main liaison for the German armed forces and delivers maintenance and support for Safran products in collaboration with users and vital German logistical hubs.
