Fincantieri Joins Forces with Enra Energy Solutions for a Groundbreaking Partnership in Malaysia

In light of the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA), currently in progress, Fincantieri and Enra Energy Solutions (EES) have executed a Technical Collaboration Agreement aimed at bolstering the Royal Malaysian Navy’s “15 to 5” strategic fleet rejuvenation initiative. The agreement was signed in the presence of the Malaysian Minister of Defence, H.E. Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin, alongside the Italian Undersecretary of State for Defence, Hon. Matteo Perego di Cremnago, and was formalized by Biagio Mazzotta, Chairman of Fincantieri, and Ikhlas Zainal, Chief Executive Officer of Enra Energy Solutions.

The endeavor signifies a crucial advancement in amplifying Malaysia’s maritime capabilities while encouraging substantial national industrial involvement. This agreement lays the groundwork for a collaboration centered on the delivery and support of next-generation naval vessels, such as Multi Role Support Ships and Littoral Mission Ships batch 3. These vessels are engineered to enhance operational preparedness and resilience in a dynamic regional security environment.

Fincantieri, recognized as one of the premier shipbuilding conglomerates globally and a key partner for both the Italian and US navies, brings profound knowledge in cutting-edge naval platforms. The Group plays an essential role in international defense collaboration programs, contributing expertise across numerous allied nations. EES stands as a distinguished Malaysian entity with a notable record in maintenance, repairs, and logistical support services. This alliance allows EES to play an instrumental role in fortifying the local maritime defense solutions ecosystem.
