“Saab Clinches New Deal for Revolutionary Senop AFCD TI Smart Sight Technology”

Senop has successfully secured an agreement with Saab for the supply of the Senop AFCD TI intelligent sight. This procurement for the Senop AFCD TI highlights Senop’s capacity to enhance the combat efficiency of a NATO member on the modern battlefield.

The Senop Advanced Fire Control Device Thermal Imager (AFCD TI) ranks among the premier sophisticated sights available for the Carl-Gustaf® M4 and M3 systems, uniquely integrating all essential functions into a single unit, certified for both the Carl-Gustaf M4 and M3 platforms.

As the demand for military equipment rises, the ability to produce extensive volumes of high-quality products is becoming increasingly crucial.

“In the past four to five years, Senop has experienced significant growth, enabling us to make substantial investments in our manufacturing capabilities as well as research and innovation,” remarks Aki Korhonen, President of Senop.

“We take immense pride in assisting our clients with the Senop AFCD TI. The contract we secured is a clear affirmation of our expertise and ability to deliver state-of-the-art solutions that meet our client’s needs and enhance operational firepower,” Korhonen adds.

For the Carl-Gustaf, the AFCD TI offers a variety of performance-enhancing features within a single device. This sets it apart from existing options that depend on a traditional day sight and Clip-On night optics assembly. The advanced optronics, ballistic calculations, and integration with the latest munitions facilitate exceptionally high first-round hit rates for both moving and stationary targets. Depending on the situation, the operator can opt for a day camera, a thermal imager, or a combined fusion view to detect, identify, and engage targets on the battlefield. The AFCD TI is the lightest fire control solution available for the Carl-Gustaf, equipped with all the previously mentioned functionalities. The unit weighs only 1.7 kg and has been designed to meet the highest usability standards.

Owing to the confidentiality of the agreement and the current climate, the end-user and details of the transaction will remain undisclosed.
