HENSOLDT Singapore Partners with HTX for Innovative Strategic Alliance

HENSOLDT, a prominent provider of sensor solutions, declares its alliance with Singapore’s HTX (Home Team Science and Technology Agency), to propel the evolution of Rapid Deployable Counter UAV Systems (CUAS) tailored for urban settings. This partnership is a proactive approach to the escalating menace posed by consumer drones. Merging HENSOLDT Singapore’s specialized software knowledge, system integration proficiency, and operational perspectives from HTX, the collaboration seeks to offer a holistic solution that addresses the distinctive requirements of an urban landscape.

The swiftly deployable CUAS system, a pivotal result of this cooperation, integrates HENSOLDT’s Z:ASSESS software alongside cutting-edge Multi-Sensors Data Fusion (MSDF). The system is founded on a highly modular and expandable design, comprising Surveillance Radar, EO/IR cameras, Jammer while facilitating smooth incorporation of supplementary sensors to amplify its functionalities. This CUAS suite is crafted to deliver real-time threat detection and mapping, presenting users with a detailed overview of identified threats superimposed on selected areas. The system is revealed for the first time at the HTX Pavilion at Milipol Asia-Pacific–TechX Summit 2024.

The partnership demonstrates a profound level of collaboration between HENSOLDT Singapore and HTX. “This marks just the onset of such strategic alliances between HTX Singapore and HENSOLDT Singapore. We eagerly anticipate broadening this relationship in the imminent future,” states Ines Maiwald, Head of Business Development Asia at HENSOLDT.

“The alliance is aimed at tackling the distinct challenges arising from urban settings, offering an effective CUAS solution in Singapore,” remarks Dr. Ben Soon, Senior Principal Engineer from HTX, who was instrumental in conceptualizing the system’s architecture.

Previously, HENSOLDT Singapore has showcased its proficiency in drone defense through its CUAS system. This collaboration with HTX signifies a mutual dedication to enhancing security protocols and proactively addressing evolving threats. The CUAS system is designed not only for permanent installation but for temporary safeguarding during significant events, demonstrating its adaptability and versatility.

This collaboration also marks a crucial advancement in confronting the intricate security challenges linked to unmanned aerial systems in urban territories. This joint initiative is set to establish new benchmarks for CUAS technology, contributing to elevated security and defense against emerging threats.
