Escribano M&E, the leading Spanish manufacturer renowned for its infrared technologies in lens fabrication (IR/visible), has crafted the designated driving cameras for the armored Pizarro Phase II vehicles utilized by the Spanish Armed Forces. This
contract includes 83 vehicle cameras, significantly improving the operational capabilities of these units.
This camera enhances situational awareness for vehicle operators, ensuring soldiers remain safe without the need to disembark for visibility. The system features a camera that integrates both Visible and Infrared sensors. The configuration can be further enhanced with VTCDual, which includes a rear-mounted IR camera.
The front camera combines dual sensors: one is an uncooled LWIR infrared sensor for the IR camera, and the other caters to the visible spectrum. The rear camera is equipped with an IR sensor. Utilizing advanced technology, the VTC system provides high-definition imagery in extreme environmental conditions suitable for both day and night operations, showcased on a
durable 8.4” HD monitor that boasts enhanced contrast and night vision capabilities.
