Per Vices Launches Crimson: The Future of Software-Defined Radar Technology

Per Vices, a leading provider of solutions and systems, is delighted to unveil its next-generation Software Defined Radio (SDR) technology: Crimson The Next Generation (Crimson TNG). This innovative solution builds upon the exceptional wireless functionalities offered by its predecessor, advancing the company’s mission for cutting-edge wireless technology. Crimson TNG serves as a high-performance wireless platform that supports adaptable, multifaceted, and progressive applications. The technology integrated within Crimson TNG delivers seamless and transparent interconnectivity across all wireless devices.

Crimson TNG boasts a full duplex transceiver operating across a frequency range from DC to 6GHz, featuring four independently managed receive and transmit paths, each with an impressive 322MHz of RF bandwidth. Additionally, it includes a highly stable internal reference clock (+/- 5ppb) and a dual SFP+ backhaul, allowing data transfer rates of up to 20Gbps.

As an optimal solution for enhancing existing radar technologies within defense and surveillance frameworks—be it for naval, coastal, or airport surface movements—Crimson TNG shows considerable improvements in channel isolation and noise figure, thus significantly elevating current radar systems.

Moreover, Crimson TNG enhances performance compared to the preceding generation by introducing a refined timing architecture. This development enables deterministic latency and phase coherence across radio chains, making it ideal for MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) applications.
