Unleashing Innovation: The SAMP/T NG System Kicks Off Mass Production
At the Second European Air and Missile Defence conference taking place in Rome today, Sébastien Lecornu, the French Minister of Armed Forces, officially announced the contract executed through OCCAR-EA to initiate the serial fabrication of seven SAMP/T NG units for the French Air and Space Force. With this recent directive, the SAMP/T NG system is gearing up for the comprehensive serial production phase.
This contract marks a significant advancement towards the enhancement of European Medium-Range Air Defence ground capacities, following the SAMP/T NG initiative commenced by both Nations in 2021. It finalizes the SAMP/T NG units procured respectively in July 2023 for the Italian Air Force and early 2024 for the Italian Army.
OCCAR-EA and eurosam take pride in this accomplishment, which stems from collaborative efforts with the Direction Générale de l’Armement (DGA) and the Segretariato Generale della Difesa (SGD). This agreement reinforces the existing partnership between France and Italy as well as with OCCAR-EA.
