Unveiling the Future: FLIR’s Rugged Mobile Innovations Take Center Stage at Mobile World Congress

Teledyne FLIR, a division of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, is unveiling two innovative Thermal by FLIR products in collaboration with Blackview and RealWear at the Mobile World Congress (MWC). The newly designed rugged BL9000 Pro 5G mobile device from Blackview and the cutting-edge RealWear NavigatorTM Z1 assisted-reality headset both incorporate the FLIR Lepton® 3.5 thermal micro camera module.

Durable Mobile Device from Blackview

The all-new Blackview BL9000 Pro showcases MyFLIR® Pro, the leading user application in the industry. The enhanced app equips BL9000 Pro owners with proprietary image processing technology, VividIRTM, along with advanced functionalities including temperature alerts, isotherms, and MSX® intensity modification for analyzing thermal images with heightened precision. The BL9000 Pro is also compatible with the Teledyne FLIR Mobile SDK for Android OS, enabling integration with approved third-party applications and enterprise software.

“This is the sole smartphone available that features the latest Android 14, FLIR Lepton 3.5, 5G connectivity, and MyFLIR Pro’s sophisticated thermal ecosystem, establishing it as the premier mobile device for tackling tasks in challenging environments,” stated David Xu, founder, general manager, and CEO of Blackview. “We are delighted to introduce a robust, enhanced mobile device that offers an exceptional fusion of practicality and technological innovation in its design.”

Assisted Reality Headset from RealWear

RealWear’s Navigator Z1 hands-free headset is the inaugural intrinsically safe assisted-reality thermal device crafted for oil and gas experts in production settings. The Z1 facilitates hands-free communication and bilateral data sharing that transforms knowledge dissemination while addressing operational inefficiencies and reducing safety hazards. The hardware and software from RealWear, powered by the capabilities of the FLIR Lepton 3.5, streamline workflows even in the most perilous environments.
