ATAC Wins $554.5 Million Deal with U.S. Navy to Enhance Fleet Training Standards

Airborne Tactical Advantage Company (ATAC), a segment of the Textron Systems division of Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT), declared today the acquisition of a contract from the U.S. Navy to persist in providing training support services to the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps under the Fleet Fighter Jet Services (FJS) initiative. This recent contract expands upon ATAC’s twenty years of success in aiding the U.S. Navy with high subsonic and supersonic aircraft performing various airborne threat simulations.

Under the indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract, ATAC is poised to offer roughly 6500-7000 flight hours each year for fleet assistance to the Navy and Marine Corps throughout a five-year timeframe (2025-2030), reaching a contract ceiling of $554.5 million. The training operations will be overseen by ATAC’s flight crew, composed of highly skilled U.S. military veterans and seasoned civilians, employing ATAC’s premier fleet of Mirage F1, F-21 Kfir, and Mk.58 Hawker Hunter fighter jets.

The Navy FJS contract has been vital to ATAC’s functions for over two decades. The capability to address client requirements has been essential for achieving success with this contract. In 2024, under the current contract, ATAC accomplished yet another record-breaking year in aiding FJS end-users, encompassing 82 deployments to more than 16 detachment sites, 3189 man-days deployed, a record number of Hunter Sorties/Hours, and an unprecedented total of supersonic hours flown by our Kfir and F1 aircraft.

Rich Zins, ATAC Vice President of Business Operations remarked: “We are honored to be chosen once more for an extended five-year contract in support of Navy and Marine Corps FJS, prolonging our ongoing engagement in this contract beyond two decades. We would like to extend our appreciation to our clients for their confidence in us, our subcontractors and suppliers for their unwavering support, and our team members, whose dedication, commitment, and focus on client satisfaction have been pivotal for the past performance leading to this contract award. We look forward to five more years of delivering adaptable airpower to meet the fleet’s demanding requirements.”
