VITEC Celebrates a Significant Leap in its Middle Eastern Growth Journey

VITEC, an international frontrunner in comprehensive video streaming solutions, has officially opened a new office in Dubai as part of its swift growth in the Middle East. The company’s investment in its new regional headquarters highlights VITEC’s dedication to sustained expansion in the Middle East, particularly concentrating on Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, and Egypt.

Since the tech pioneer established its foothold in the region in 2019, operations in the area have surged. VITEC anticipates an impressive 50% surge in revenue for the year 2022. With a proficient regional staff of nine in Dubai and four in Saudi Arabia, the Middle East team manages sales, business development, presales, and post-sales to more effectively assist both current clients and potential partners.

Nicolas Pons, VP of Business Development for the Middle East at VITEC, stated, “The acquisition of our new office closely aligns with VITEC’s philosophy, wherein strategic choices are made locally to future-proof our organization and facilitate growth. We are confident that this investment will reinforce our presence and broaden our access to new business opportunities, markets, and sectors in the region.”

As a privately held French entity, VITEC maintains control over its technologies and component supply. Dedicated teams are focused on refining its products in two dimensions: technically, to provide the best in IPTV distribution and video streaming services; and environmentally, to support a sustainable future. Eco-friendliness is a fundamental aspect of VITEC’s core values, aligning with the Middle East’s net-zero goals. The organization has achieved carbon neutrality since 2021 and has recently introduced the GreenPEG initiative to further enhance MPEG technology by addressing – and minimizing – the size, weight, and energy consumption of devices.

The establishment of the new regional headquarters by VITEC follows its acquisition of Exterity, reinforcing the company’s commitment to solidifying their position as the leader in video streaming, IPTV, and digital signage solutions. VITEC leveraged its extensive engineering team of over 200 to accelerate the development of innovative features for Exterity’s offerings, which are now fully integrated into the VITEC product suite.

In the upcoming year, VITEC plans to persist with its strategic growth approach in the Middle East, focusing on pivotal sectors including broadcast, military, healthcare, sports/venues, corporate/government, and hospitality. “We believe our ongoing investment in the region will strengthen our relationships and facilitate our projected further expansions in the Middle East,” concluded Pons. “Our products and philosophy align seamlessly with the region’s needs and aspirations, and we are eager to support companies across the Middle East for many years ahead.”
