VITEC Welcomes Kevin Dowd as New APAC Business Development Lead

VITEC is excited to declare the selection of Kevin Dowd as the Regional Business Development Director for the APAC region. Residing in Hong Kong and proficient in Mandarin, French, and Japanese, Kevin will leverage his linguistic skills, business insight, and extensive expertise across various sectors to propel VITEC’s expansion.

Kevin possesses over 25 years of expertise in business development throughout China and the wider APAC territory, where he has been affiliated with global technology firms such as MultiDyne, Accord Networks, RGB Networks, Broadstream, Haivision, Polycom, deCarta (now part of Uber), and Viewcast. He has directly sold and overseen multimillion-dollar initiatives in sectors such as telecommunications, healthcare, defense, finance, government, broadcasting, education, and public relations.

Having resided in Shanghai and Hong Kong since 1995, Kevin has cultivated a robust network among some of the largest broadcasters, government bodies, financial institutions, and telecommunications providers in APAC, engaging with high-tier local and national government levels in China and across Asia.

Armed with a BSc in Economics from the prestigious London School of Economics and an MSc in Economics with distinction from the University of Bristol, Kevin is a specialist in the political economy of China, having held roles at the Shanghai Institute of Economic Development and Jiaotong University in Shanghai.
