Aeralis Gains Boost from the Royal Air Force’s Cutting-Edge Capabilities Division

Innovative military aerospace firm AERALIS has today revealed that it has acquired noteworthy additional funding from the Royal Air Force’s Rapid Capabilities Office (RCO), aligning with the broader PYRAMID initiative.

In February 2021, AERALIS established a three-year agreement with the Royal Air Force’s RCO for exploration and advancement into a modern modular methodology for the design and development of next-generation aircraft. With the initial phase successfully finalized, AERALIS is thrilled to share the commencement of Phase 2 of the initiative, which will pave the way to harness the capabilities of PYRAMID, the Ministry of Defence’s open mission system architecture.

Furthermore, within the context of the UK MOD’s Combat Air Strategy, AERALIS is collaborating with the UK MOD and its procurement branch, Defence, Equipment & Support, to investigate potential opportunities for further synergy. The focus areas extend beyond avionics system development and aim to achieve comprehensive technological and enterprise advantages, including digital transformation that will bolster the MOD’s Technology Initiative for future Combat Air Systems.

AERALIS stands at the cutting edge of the military aviation sector, presenting its distinctive innovative design for a modular military jet. The early integration of digital qualifications and certifications to inform regulations throughout the aircraft’s development represents another revolutionary progression for the advancement of military aircraft.

Tristan Crawford, CEO of AERALIS, stated:

“We are thrilled to be announcing the subsequent phase of our agreement with the RCO. Over the past year, we have provided insightful revelations into the digital infrastructure essential for the progression of new military aircraft, and we eagerly anticipate continuing this vital collaboration with the RAF.”
