RTX’s Pratt & Whitney Secures $65.8 Million F100 Engine Overhaul Deal for Saudi F-15s
Pratt & Whitney, a division of RTX (NYSE: RTX), has been granted an F100 engine agreement for a logistical management program by Saudi Arabia’s Middle East Propulsion Company (MEPC), the primary contractor for the Saudi Ministry of Defense concerning F100 engine support services. The maintenance agreement, valued at $65.8 million, provides spare components and engine services aimed at bolstering the Royal Saudi Air Force’s (RSAF) F-15 Eagles.
“This agreement signifies a shift towards a more proactive and all-encompassing support system that delivers the Royal Saudi Air Force complete efficiencies and enhanced cost-effectiveness,” remarked Josh Goodman, senior director of the F100 Program at Pratt & Whitney. “Pratt & Whitney will take on additional responsibility for maximizing fleet readiness, enabling the client to concentrate on vital missions.”
Within this framework, Pratt & Whitney will be more closely aligned with MEPC and RSAF, obtaining streamlined insight into engine analytics and inventory oversight procedures. Pratt & Whitney will offer forecasting, technical assistance, and prompt material supply to foster enhanced operational readiness, more effective predictive maintenance, optimal module turnaround times, and improved engine availability. Work on this agreement commenced in January 2024 and will extend through the latter half of 2025.
