“Unveiling the Future of Warfare: KNDS Debuts the Advanced Leopard 2 A-RC 3.0 at Eurosatory”
During Eurosatory 2024, KNDS is unveiling its newest innovations in main battle tank engineering with the launch of the Leopard 2 A-RC 3.0 and Leclerc Evolution.
The Leopard 2 A-RC 3.0 comes with a remotely controlled turret that features a modular automated loading mechanism. The main weapon caliber is adjustable between 120mm and 140mm. This setup enhances the spatial arrangement within the chassis, ensuring a fully enclosed and secure environment for 3-4 crew members. Cutting-edge ballistic shielding is paired with a dependable active defense system and a remote weapon station tailored to counter drone threats. Furthermore, the Leopard 2 A-RC 3.0 incorporates a guided missile system for targeting opponents beyond visual range while maintaining mobility, alongside a 30mm remote weapon system to address close-quarters combat and aerial threats.
The Leopard 2 A-RC 3.0 is designed to be compatible with existing Leopard 2 models, enabling cost-effective enhancements. Any operational variant of the Leopard 2 can be upgraded to meet the specifications of the Leopard 2 A-RC 3.0. This modular architecture allows KNDS to tailor solutions to meet the distinct requirements of each client.
KNDS considers the Leopard 2 A-RC 3.0 a crucial milestone towards the forthcoming Main Ground Combat System (MGCS) project, while also delivering an advanced solution for current demands.
