“ELT Alliance with King Abdullah University: Forging New Frontiers in Innovative Technology”

ELT Group and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) have initiated a groundbreaking Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) focused on strengthening their collaboration in cutting-edge technologies.

This strategic partnership merges ELT Group’s extensive proficiency in managing the electromagnetic spectrum with KAUST’s elite research framework, paving the way for the development of joint initiatives centered on advanced technologies.

The core objective of this agreement is to forge a platform where scientific innovations align with commercial ventures, ensuring that transformative research transcends academic limits and integrates into the industrial fabric of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This collaboration leverages ELT Group’s solid local foothold, illustrated by the launch of Elettronica for Industry LLC, a regional enterprise dedicated to technology transfer, manufacturing localization, logistical support, and comprehensive value chain management.

Prof. Gianluca Setti, Dean of Computer, Electrical and Mathematical Sciences and Engineering at KAUST, stated: “This alliance powerfully unites KAUST’s research capabilities with ELT Group’s practical expertise to promote secure communications, monitor vital infrastructure, and create next-generation technologies, all while fostering local talent and skills within the Kingdom.”

Daniela Pistoia, Corporate Chief Scientist at ELT Group, remarked: “By partnering with KAUST, ELT Group extends its extensive expertise in ElectroMagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) to one of the foremost research institutions globally. This MoU will expedite the development of next-generation technologies while significantly bolstering local competencies and technological independence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”

Through this coalition, ELT Group and KAUST will collaboratively tackle some of the most intricate challenges, focusing on joint research endeavors, investigations into emerging technologies, specialized training programs, and access to state-of-the-art testing facilities.

The signing ceremony occurred during the Saudi Italian Business Forum in Riyadh, with attendance from the Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Tajani.
