“Collaborative Innovation: Exail, ADSB, and TII Revolutionize Autonomous Mine-Clearing Technologies in the UAE”
Three entities, Exail, Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB), and the Technology Innovation Institute (TII), are collaborating in the United Arab Emirates to develop sophisticated robotic systems capable of detecting and neutralizing underwater mines.
As a part of this partnership, ADSB has successfully introduced a new 17-meter vessel known as the 170M Detector. This boat is outfitted with intelligent systems from Exail to efficiently spot and safely eliminate mines.
Looking forward, the trio of partners will jointly craft a novel type of unmanned surface vehicle (a crewless boat) named the Inspector 125 USV. This innovative robotic vessel will leverage TII’s autonomous navigation technology for maritime operations and Exail’s T-18 sonar to discover mines. This sonar technology mirrors what Exail utilizes in its underwater drones, significantly accelerating the process of identifying and categorizing mines.
This collaboration marks a pivotal milestone for Exail in the UAE, demonstrating the nation’s ambition to emerge as a frontrunner in utilizing autonomous technologies for its naval fleet. Representatives from Exail and TII conveyed their excitement about the partnership, highlighting its role in improving the safety and operational efficiency of naval missions through intelligent, integrated systems.
