
Morocco and Embraer Soar Together: New Aerospace Partnership Unveiled
The Moroccan Authorities have finalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Embraer to initiate potential collaborative endeavors within the Moroccan aerospace sector, encompassing domains in commercial aviation, defense, and urban air transportation.
The MOU additionally recognizes the shared aspiration to enhance and broaden partnership and investment between the Federative Republic of Brazil and the Kingdom of Morocco, promoting greater Atlantic collaboration as exemplars from the Global South.
The contract, forged between The Moroccan Authorities and Embraer, was executed by the Minister of Industry and Trade, Mr. Ryad Mezzour; the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government, responsible for Investment, Convergence, and Assessment of Public Policies, Mr. Karim Zidane; the Managing Director of the Moroccan Investment and Export Development Agency, Mr. Ali Seddiki; and Embraer Commercial Aviation President and CEO, Mr. Arjan Meijer.
The entities have pinpointed business prospects, presenting considerable potential to yield mutual advantages in both the near and distant future for Embraer and Morocco. The agreement encompasses chances in commercial aviation, defense, and urban air mobility, establishing a framework for developing an integrated sourcing ecosystem in Morocco, nurturing innovation and economic advancement, while contributing to job creation and the growth of local skills.
This cooperation initiative will also explore an essential array of domains in progressive phases by enhancing training and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul). Additional areas for potential partnerships include: R&T particularly focused on decarbonization, clean mobility, sustainable aviation practices, and sustainable aviation fuel.
“Today, we are formalizing a landmark partnership agreement with Embraer at this esteemed gathering – the Marrakech airshow,” stated Mr. Ryad Mezzour, The Minister of Industry and Trade.

It signifies a crucial moment in the advancement of our aeronautics sector, reinforcing our commitment to excellence and inviting strategic investments from global industry leaders. The partnership will stimulate a deeper synergy between Morocco and the prominent industry leader, Embraer, propelling our shared aspirations and unlocking opportunities for groundbreaking accomplishments in aerospace,” he elucidated.
