EDGE Teams Up with Thales to Revolutionize Precision Engineering Solutions

Abu Dhabi, UAE: 17 November, 2023 – EPI, the foundation of precision engineering within the UAE’s aerospace, oil & gas, and defense sectors, has today declared their signing of a Letter of Intent with Thales Group, a worldwide frontrunner in innovative technologies in defense, digital identity and security, aeronautics and space, as well as transport. This agreement will enable both organizations to collaboratively investigate procurement avenues for industrial components, alongside engineering services. The announcement was made during the Dubai Airshow 2023.

EPI aims to provide precise machining services for metal components, enhancing various functionalities such as surface treatments and assemblies. This collaboration is part of Thales’ ‘Go to UAE’ initiative, designed to establish a robust industrial base by nurturing local suppliers for domestic and export requirements through an array of international certifications for technologies, components, and services.

Officially launched on the second day of the ‘Make it in the Emirates Forum’, the ‘Go to UAE’ initiative is executed in partnership with Tawazun Council and receives support from MoIAT. It also aids in Thales’ adherence to the Tawazun Economic Program commitments.
