HAVELSAN Unveils Enhanced 360° Rear Projection Dome: A Leap Forward in Visual Technology!
Türkiye-based flight simulation solution provider and manufacturer HAVELSAN has declared that the enhancement project for the 360° Rear Projected Dome Display System has been successfully finalized as part of the TurAF’s F-16 Full Mission Simulator.
The completely in-house developed enhancement strategy includes substituting the outdated LCoS projectors installed in the system with cutting-edge NVG-compatible Solid State LED DLP Projectors. This upgrade involves replacing the Automatic Alignment System with a brand-new, high-quality Automatic Alignment System featuring one-click calibration. An automatically controlled Motorized Optical Blending system has been integrated to improve night and NVG training.
A notable enhancement has been observed following the system upgrade. Color and luminance stability of the system will be ensured for the long term due to the use of the DLP Projection System equipped with a Solid-State LED illumination source. This will significantly reduce maintenance efforts and operational expenses during the lifespan of the simulator.
The enhancement strategy takes into account the utilization of Legacy Image Generators (along with Host Software and Visual Database) and the mechanical support framework to minimize integration efforts, subsequently reducing the cost and schedule impact of the upgrade project.
The upgrade of the display system illustrates HAVELSAN’s dedication to excellence in its display technologies, boosting the efficiency and vibrancy of the training sessions carried out in the simulator.
