KNDS Unveils Bold Expansion into Ukraine with New Subsidiary Launch

KNDS, a Franco-German defense enterprise, has recently declared the establishment of a subsidiary in Ukraine.

This initiative seeks to bolster the company’s footprint in the area and improve its capacity to assist the Ukrainian defense sector.

The firm signed two Letters of Intent with the Ukrainian organization ENMEK. The first contract involves the creation of a maintenance hub for the Caesar self-propelled howitzer, an essential piece of artillery in the Ukrainian inventory. The second arrangement focuses on the manufacturing of spare components for the Caesar utilizing advanced 3D printing techniques.

Moreover, KNDS has engaged in an agreement with KZVV, another Ukrainian enterprise, to shift the production of 155mm artillery shells. This aligns with a larger strategy to localize munitions manufacturing within Ukraine.

These efforts are part of a comprehensive approach by KNDS to bolster Ukraine’s military capabilities and support the nation’s sovereignty within the defense arena.
