International defense corporation, Patria, has purchased 100% of the shares from Belgium Engine Center SPRL (BEC) from AIM Norway, aiming to enhance BEC’s capabilities and operations. BEC serves as a military aircraft engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility that supports the Pratt & Whitney F100 engine, which powers the F-15 and F-16 jets worldwide. The center also offers material management solutions for these engines. BEC operates from its base in Herstal, Belgium, employing approximately 90 personnel.
This acquisition is part of Patria’s initiative, focusing on international maintenance and lifecycle support, with a particular emphasis on Europe.

Patria boasts a rich history and extensive expertise in aircraft maintenance, including engines, across Finland and other Nordic nations. This acquisition allows us to further expand this business. I also wish to extend a warm welcome to BEC’s staff as they become part of Patria. I am confident that together we will advance this endeavor. Our complementary skills will make us stronger and more competitive,” remarks Jukka Holkeri, President of Patria’s International Support Partnerships division.

This acquisition does not alter existing customer agreements or employment conditions for BEC staff or any other organizational commitments and adheres to all legal requirements.
As an outcome of this acquisition, the official title of BEC will be updated to Patria Belgium Engine Center SRL, and communications will be integrated under the Patria branding. A transition period of several months is planned to implement the Patria brand within the new unit.
