Unmanned systems, developed for initial combat engagements, are crucial for preserving lives in contemporary warfare. KNDS offers an extensive array of robotic units of various sizes, distinguished by their modular design to fulfill diverse requirements. KNDS has achieved notable milestones in the secure operation of these robotic systems:
The surveillance variant of the NERVA series of micro-robots is actively deployed at Eurosatory 2024 for nighttime protection of the exhibition.
KNDS showcased a Medium-Force-Mission-Solution featuring manned/unmanned collaborative systems integrated with Data-Management and sensor-to-shooter capabilities.
KNDS has successfully conducted trials of long-range secure communications between a terrestrial operator and a ground platform: radio connections achieved distances of 7km in open terrain, and 80m within a ship during a test conducted with the French Navy. Additionally, KNDS provides a secure radio link capable of extending up to 80km for the LARINAE loitering munition program.
Engineering robotic solutions: KNDS has demonstrated remote-operated bridge laying systems across various scenarios for numerous nations, while the CENTURIO robot adeptly completed an explosive ordnance reconnaissance mission with the operator controlling it from beyond the line of sight.
Resilient autonomous capabilities: KNDS executed multiple mobility assessments with an ULTRO robot utilizing artificial intelligence, enabling it to navigate roads, woodland trails, landmarks, personnel, and vehicles effectively.
CENTURIO: an innovative suite of robots to satisfy the diverse requirements of an Army
KNDS’ portfolio is now enhanced with the new CENTURIO multifunctional tactical robots. The CENTURIO lineup features a combat robot variant outfitted with a 30mm ARX 30, an explosive ordnance reconnaissance model, and a CBRN detection version. Furthermore, KNDS provides additional robust solutions such as the ULTRO carrier robot and the OPTIO tracked combat unit. Development is currently underway on a remotely operated main battle tank chassis to advance the MGCS initiative.
