“EDGE Entity LAHAB Partners with PT Pindad to Amplify Ammunition Supply and Strategic Collaboration”
EDGE Group entity LAHAB, the UAE’s exclusive munitions producer, alongside PT Pindad, an Indonesian state-run corporation and one of Asia’s foremost defense manufacturers, have formalized a Head of Agreement to investigate joint prospects in establishing defense manufacturing capabilities, along with a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to supply defense apparatus.
During the Head of Agreement signing, witnessed by His Excellency Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, at the Indonesia-UAE Business Week 2024 in Bali, LAHAB will probe avenues to enhance industrial cooperation between the two defense sectors. In line with the MoU, LAHAB will furnish defense equipment for manufacturing purposes to PT Pindad.
These agreements are integral to a sustained initiative between both nations to strengthen the capabilities of the Indonesian defense sector and elevate bilateral trade to USD 10 billion by 2030 as part of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement.
