SAMI Unveils Innovative Helicopter Maintenance Alliances with Lockheed Martin and Airbus
Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) has established two new partnerships with its strategic collaborators Lockheed Martin and Airbus Helicopters.
In a recent statement, SAMI proclaimed that this venture is aimed at boosting the organization’s expertise in maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for C-130 Hercules aircraft within the Kingdom, in association with Lockheed Martin. Furthermore, SAMI plans to develop a specialized center for helicopter maintenance and repair in collaboration with Airbus Helicopters.

Under the initial agreement, Saudi Arabia, through SAMI Alsalam Aerospace Industries, joins an exclusive circle of 14 nations that have accredited MRO service facilities for C-130 Hercules aircraft provided by Lockheed Martin.
Abdulsalam Al Ghamdi, Executive Vice President of SAMI Aerospace, emphasized that this endeavor will enhance the C-130 Hercules fleet by offering MRO and engineering solutions that meet the highest international quality standards, along with system and structural modification services.
Moreover, SAMI Alsalam Aerospace will provide comprehensive support to operators of these aircraft on both regional and international levels.
