SAMI Secures Groundbreaking Helicopter Maintenance Partnerships with Lockheed Martin and Airbus
Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) has entered into two fresh agreements with its key allies Lockheed Martin and Airbus Helicopters.
In an announcement, SAMI indicated that this initiative is designed to enhance the organization’s abilities in maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for C-130 Hercules aircraft within the Kingdom in collaboration with Lockheed Martin. Additionally, SAMI aims to create a center dedicated to helicopter maintenance and repair alongside Airbus Helicopters.
As per the initial agreement, Saudi Arabia, via SAMI Alsalam Aerospace Industries, joins an elite group of 14 nations that possess certified MRO service facilities for C-130 Hercules aircraft from Lockheed Martin.
Abdulsalam Al Ghamdi, Executive Vice President of SAMI Aerospace, stated that this initiative will augment the C-130 Hercules fleet by delivering MRO and engineering solutions in accordance with the highest international quality benchmarks, alongside system and structural modification services.
Furthermore, SAMI Alsalam Aerospace will extend support to operators of these aircraft on both regional and global scales.
