Condor Partners with Hungary’s 4iG S&D to Launch Innovative Non-Lethal Solutions Hub

CONDOR, a Brazilian frontrunner in non-lethal technologies and a member of the UAE’s EDGE Group, has formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 4iG Space and Defence Technologies (S&D), a prominent telecommunications, IT, and defence-industrial consortium in Hungary and the Western Balkans, to investigate the initiation of a regional hub in Hungary for sophisticated non-lethal solutions.

As part of the MoU, 4iG S&D and CONDOR will assess prospects for producing non-lethal solutions in Hungary, including potential technology transfers, manufacturing, training, capacity enhancement, and collaborative research initiatives.

Frederico Aguiar, CEO of CONDOR, expressed: “With the robust support from EDGE, our collaboration with 4iG S&D signifies a pivotal advancement in Hungary’s defence sector and fortifies the broader European security framework. This MoU showcases our mutual dedication to delivering sovereign, localized non-lethal solutions that amplify the capabilities of Central European law enforcement and regional security forces. By nurturing lasting partnerships across Europe, we aspire to ignite innovation, fortify industrial cooperation, and contribute to the evolution of next-generation technologies that protect our communities.”

The objective of the enduring collaboration between 4iG SDT and EDGE is to generate joint developments that are globally competitive and satisfy the technological and security policy needs of NATO member states. The cooperation accord recently established with CONDOR permits the groundwork for a regional center focused on limited-impact, non-lethal defence solutions through joint developments, knowledge sharing, and industrial synergies. The agreement serves as a prime example and also initiates cross-continental collaboration,” stated István Sárhegyi, CEO of 4iG SDT.

The MoU for cutting-edge non-lethal solutions represents the latest advancement in EDGE’s ongoing alliance with 4iG S&D. In July this year, EDGE and 4iG S&D sealed three MoUs to foster significant and extensive industrial collaboration between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Hungary, which includes exploring the co-development and production of EDGE’s SKYKNIGHT air defence missile system, SHADOW 25 and SHADOW 50 loitering munitions, and VEGA and ORION unmanned air traffic control solutions.

The agreements underscore EDGE’s unwavering commitment to reinforcing relationships with vital European defence ecosystems through dynamic collaborations and delivering co-developed, export-ready solutions that cater to the changing modernization demands of NATO countries.
