“Forging a New Era: Indonesia’s Letter of Intent Marks a Strategic Leap in Operational Excellence”

  • Indonesia has recently finalized a new Letter of Intent (LOI) for the acquisition of additional CAESAR artillery systems along with its 155mm ammunition;
  • This LOI will bolster industrial collaboration between KNDS and Indonesia, facilitating local production;
  • With 56 CAESAR already operational in the Indonesian army, Indonesia ranks as the third most equipped nation in advanced CAESAR artillery systems.

Indonesia eager to enhance its CAESAR artillery capabilities

A global pioneer in artillery systems and ammunitions, KNDS France is dedicated to reinforcing its industrial alliance with Indonesian DTIB through the transfer of expertise, technology, and assembly of artillery weapons in Indonesia.

KNDS has already delivered 56 CAESAR systems (equipping 3 battalions) to TNI, positioning Indonesia as the 3rd largest CAESAR client globally and the largest in Asia. Additionally, there are 20 105LG light towed artillery pieces in the Marinirs Corps of the Indonesian Navy.

We appreciate the robust backing from both the Indonesian and French Ministries of Defense following the recent Letter of Intent signed during French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to Jakarta.
